All the volunteers at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway are delighted to be able to welcome you back to our railway for our first public event since December 2019.

Train rides will be running throughout the day with Class 142 Diesel Multiple Unit no. 142 006, which marks its entry into service for this event. Take a ride over our historic railway line and support us to extend the line in the future. Designed as a stop-gap in the rolling stock market in the 1980s, the Class 142s continued in service until December 2020. 142 006 is the only South Wales based unit of the class to be preserved for future generations.

Important Covid Safe information: Hand sanitiser stations are located around the railway, including on the train for your safety. You must wear a face covering in all vehicles unless eating or drinking, this is a legal requirement (unless you are exempt or under the age of 11). Trains are running to 30 minute time slots, with several trips during the slot. Seating will be allocated according to social distancing requirements. Once seated, passengers must not sit in any seats marked red and should avoid leaving their seats during the journey unless essential.

Have a picnic on our benches and watch the trains go by.

Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome!

All proceeds go towards the Cynheidre Heritage Project, registered charity no. 1087985.

Note that all attractions are subject to availability on day of event.

Dogs welcome on site (please keep on a lead at all times).
