Enthusiast Running Day at Cynheidre
The Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway will be holding a running day aimed at enthusiasts on Saturday 31st August. It is hoped to kick start the day with a demonstration freight train at 10.15am, before offering brake van rides with our popular Sentinel diesel loco and train rides behind our Netherlands railway class 600 between 10.45am and 4pm. Local celebrity shunter No. 08 795 will be posed outside for photography throughout the day and, subject to our restoration plans going to schedule, it is proposed to fire up the 08 for the first time in preservation at some point during the day. There will also be a real ale bar offering a selection of ales from the local Felinfoel Brewery.
