It is finally here! The Class 442 CabSim has landed at Cynheidre and we are delighted to offer 60 minute sessions on this immersive simulator.

The CabSim Project aims to convert upcycled train cabs into accessible, interactive train simulators — designed to be inclusive for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.

Beyond accessibility, CabSim also serves as a safe and welcoming environment for people with autism, allowing them to engage socially or enjoy immersive solo driving therapy in a calm and supportive setting. This simulator offers users the unique chance to operate a highly authentic “Plastic Pig” driving position, faithfully recreating the original Class 442 cab’s controls, sounds, and atmosphere for a truly immersive experience.

Feel what it is like to drive a real train cab over the route that is actually ran over. Drive over the Brighton to London Victoria route, retracing the steps that this actual cab took over many years of service. You don't need to know how to drive a train, our staff will tell you exactly what to do.
